Gerade auf fm4.orf.at gelesen:

A ranking from a Swiss health organisation called Krebsliga judged Austria's tobacco regulations as the worst out of 30 nations they had examined in Europe.

They looked at the price of cigarettes, anti-smoking regulations, advertising restrictions, educational campaigns and help-mechanisms for the addicted. Austria was awarded zero points for "Kampagnen und Konsumenteninformation.".

It was pretty hard to find this story in most papers. I had breakfast with an off-duty doctor this morning and promised I'd raise the issue. Is nobody interested?

Im Vergleich mit anderen Ländern ist die Diskussion in Ö geradezu lächerlich. Auch in den Ländern, in denen schon Rauchverbot in Lokalen&Co herrscht, ist das soziale Leben daran nicht gescheitert. Also: ein bisschen mehr Mut liebe Politiker...man gewöhnt sich an alles.
